Plymouth a success for Sunny Day Shorthorns, Shorthorn Cattle Sold
Sunny Day Shorthorns returned home from Plymouth today.
Both of the Consignments sold. Congratulations to Grant Sardella of Winton and Mike and Jane Mello of Tulare who took home Gloriana and Pixie respectively.
It was nice to see the extended Shorthorn Family and spend a little time away from the ranch.
Special thanks to Substitute feeders Gary Mortensen and neighbor Troy. We appreciate your hard work holding down the fort while the rest of us were at the Spotlight on Quality Sale and Annual Meeting.
Gipe announces his intention to run for the American Shorthorn Association Board of Directors
Sunny Day Shorthorn's Alpha Gipe announced his intention to run for the American Shorthorn Association Board of Directors at the Annual Meeting of the California Shorthorn Breeders Association. The election will take place at the National Show being held this year at the National Western Stock Show in Denver, Colorado.
Alpha is currently a Board Member of the California Shorthorn Breeders' Association and has served as President in the past. He has been a delegate to the Annual Meeting of the American Shorthorn Association numerous times.
Whitfield Elected Secretary/Treasurer of California Shorthorn Breeders Association
Sunny Day Shorthorn's Tim Whitfield was elected to the California Shorthorn Breeders Association Board of Directors and named Secretary/Treasurer. Tim takes over for Greg Cardey who had been Sec/Treas for 9 years. Greg was named President of the Association.
Tim and Greg have already outlined an ambitious agenda for their tenure, including restoring the Association's non profit status, updating existing bylaws, changing the membership structure and much more.
Sunny Day Shorthorns arrives in Plymouth for the Spotlight on Quality Show and Sale
Alpha and Sherri Gipe left Thursday morning with our offerings for the Spotlight on Quality Show and Sale. You can see one of those Shorthorns for sale on our Consignment page.
They arrived in Plymouth at about 11:30 p.m. and bedded down the cattle.
Amy and Tim are headed up to Plymouth after the local football game where Tim assists with the games. Go Golden Valley High School.
